Swim Test
Potential members of the Swim Team must be able to swim the width of the pool and float on his/her back. While our coaches are lifeguard certified, swim practices are during unguarded hours for the pool. Swimmers may go unseen for several seconds. There is a major difference between swim team and swim lessons. Lessons are for learning to swim, swim team is for the refinement and continued improvement of the strokes. During the first week of preseason practices, the Coaching Staff will administer a swim test. Any child who does not pass the test will receive a partial refund of dues paid, but are encouraged to take swim lessons.Attendance
Practices
Swimming is an iterative process and skills build on previous skills learned. Each swimmer is expected to attend practices regularly and participate in swim meets. Attendance will be taken at each practice. If your child misses a practice or two - that's okay! It's the summer and we completely understand your need to be flexible and no notice is required for missing practices.Swim Meets
You must RSVP via the Events Signup tab above for meets. If you do not RSVP for the meet, your swimmer may not be entered in the meet. Deck entries are not permitted. If you RSVP'd yes for a meet, but something changed, please email the head coach.Pool Rules
- During practices and swim meets, the swimming pool and baby pool are CLOSED to anyone and everyone except the swim team
- There will be no diving in water that is 3.5 feet deep or less
- All pool rules apply unless otherwise stated by the Head Coach
